Jermaine Hopkins, 'Lean on Me' Actor, Charged with Drugs
Actor Jermaine Hopkins, most widely known for his role as Thomas Sams within the 1989 film 'Lean On Me,' was arrested now on drug charges. Based on TMZ, Hopkins allegedly attempted to purchase 200 pounds of weed from an undercover officer in Arizona. Following the drug deal went lower, cops arrested the actor, then looked his apartment, where one more 100 pounds of pot was discovered. He's now billed with two criminal offence counts of having, moving and selling marijuana, and faces as much as 5 years imprisonment. Additionally to 'Lean on Me,' Hopkins starred alongside Tupac Shakur in 'Juice' His newest role is at the 2008 straight-to-Dvd and blu-ray, 'Cash Rules.'
